WHY

The Houston SPCA, founded in 1924, is Houston’s first and largest animal protection organization and shelter. Its mission is to promote a commitment to and respect for all animals and to free them from suffering, abuse and exploitation. Every year, the Houston SPCA helps more than 100,000 abused and neglected animals, and the demand for its services continues to grow. A private, non-profit organization, the Houston SPCA is funded entirely through private donations.
