Sweet and Savory Specials and Raises Profile

through Series of Events This Spring and Summer

ROSENBERG, Texas (March 29, 2011) – Guests of all ages at Another Time Soda Fountain & Café (www.anothertimesodafountain.com) in the Historic Downtown District of Rosenberg, Texas, are in for some special treats this Spring and Summer.

Another Time Soda Fountain & Café, located at 800 Third Street in Rosenberg, is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and by reservation other days and times of the week for private parties and special events. The restaurant also offers catering and box lunches to go. Extended summer hours begin on May 1, when the restaurant will remain open until 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.

Another Time Soda Fountain & Café is known as much for its hospitality and ambiance as its old fashioned fountain drinks and floats, handmade hamburgers, decadent desserts and famous daily Blue Plate Specials.

“We sell out of our Blue Plate Specials every day. They are so popular with our regular patrons that they either arrive early or call in their order so they don’t miss out. And our daily soup specials are equally tasty and popular,” owner Renee Butler commented. “Ordering soup and salad or a Blue Plate Special to go works especially well for a quick lunch at the office or when Mom needs a break from cooking!”

The Blue Plate Specials for April and May are priced at only $6.95 and include made-from-scratch yeast rolls. The daily soup specials are available by the cup for $3 per serving or by the bowl for $4 per serving. The specials are listed as follows:

Wednesday Smothered pork steaks, German potatoes, sauerkraut, salad and roll; Soup of the day: Corn chowder

Thursday Pot roast with potatoes and carrots, salad and roll; Soup of the day: Chicken tortellini

Friday Shrimp gumbo, salad and cornbread; Soup of the day: Potato

Saturday Chicken spaghetti, carrots, salad and roll; Soup of the day: Queso tortilla

Sunday Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad and roll; Soup of the day: Steak

Another Time Soda Fountain & Café will participate in the Houston Press 2011 Menu of Menus food and wine extravaganza, an event created to celebrate the best of Houston ’s restaurants while raising money for charity. This year’s event will be held at Spring Street Studios in Houston, with proceeds benefiting the Center for Hearing and Speech. Another Time Soda Fountain & Café will set up a portable soda fountain to offer Menu of Menus guests hand-mixed soda floats and ice cream sundaes. · Historic Downtown Rosenberg Chocolate Walk, Sunday, May 22

Another Time Soda Fountain & Café is participating in the Historic Downtown Rosenberg Chocolate Walk during restaurant operating hours. Diners joining the Chocolate Walk will collect a delicious chocolate at each participating member business they visit. A free chocolate bag and map will be supplied at the first business they visit. Each summer, Another Time Soda Fountain & Café offers day care and summer camp groups the opportunity to tour the restaurant and learn how to create their very-own old-fashioned ice cream sundaes.
