The Children’s Museum of Houston is celebrating now through June 30. All kids dressed in superhero costumes will get half-price admission to the Children’s Museum.
Super Superman birthday bash on June 30 from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
The day will be full of surprises with a supersized cake, super obstacle course challenge, cape art, Superman sightings, dancing, superhero yoga, and much much more.
SPECIAL ACTIVITIES:
• Superman’s Birthday Bash: How old is Superman? Congratulate him and find out his age as he “flies in” for his birthday party. We will sing “Happy Birthday” to him and join him in a dance party.
Event Time: 1 – 2 p.m.
• Super Obstacle Course Challenge: This looks like a job for Superman! See if you can beat Superman in completing this physical challenge in the Allen Family Courtyard.
Event Time: 2 – 2:30 p.m.
• Up, Up and Away!: Hang out with the Man of Steel before he takes off to save the world!

ON-GOING ACTIVITIES:
•Superman Sightings: Superman’s alter ego is Clark Kent, the mild mannered reporter who works for The Daily Planet. Cover the Superman sightings story at Kidtropolis News.
• Cape Art: Superman wears a red cape. Make your own superhero version at Junktion.
• Super Heroic Symbol: Superman’s symbol is the letter S in red over gold. Come to Junktion to design your own super symbol.
• Superhero Yoga: Superman can’t save the world all the time! He needs to relax with Yoga at the Power Science Lab.
• Science of Flight: How does Superman do it? Find out how we can fly and build your own super mini-rocket launcher at Science Station. Stick around for a Liquid Armor demo!
• Stop Motion Animation: How are superheroes brought to life? Explore the art of stop-motion animation atInventors’ Workshop.
• Superhero Drawings: Use an iPad to create comic strips at the Alexander Art Academy.
